THE KING HAS NO CLOTHES!
(The philosophy and aims of one of the few service providers prepared to call it as it is)
We find reasons to do things, rather than excuses not to! We take risks to achieve meaningful outcomes for our clients! We challenge the status quo! We stand up for what is just, right and decent!
We see common sense, honesty and decency being cast aside for that which looks good and swish, but is meaningless and worthless.
We see most people acting to appear good, yet few people act to do what is good. The service standards of the sector are fundamentally good, but those who police them seem more interested in the regulations than the spirit of the legislation and the intent to provide quality support to clients.
We see paperwork having become more important than people, and the process far more important than the outcomes.
We focus on the core business of supporting clients and carers, together with the best possible use of public monies to achieve this. Where there was baby sitting, we now have valuable programs. Where there were valid complaints, we now have compliments. Where there was no accountability, we have transparency. Where we had favouritism we now have fairness and equity.
We are not interested in waffle, protecting the backsides of bureaucrats or succumbing to their veiled threats. We are not interested in staff self preservation, but honesty, reality and doing what is best for our client group.
We see parents as experts, and a very important resource in the caring role.
We are about core business, core business and more core business, and providing the best possible service to our clients. And if this runs against the grain of public servants, then so be it.
We tell the bureaucrats, the King has no clothes! Whereas others provide flowery speeches of the Kings wonderful garments.
